The Friends of the Yale Public Library
The Friends of the Yale Public Library is a volunteer, non-profit organization of patrons who believe that dynamic library services are essential to the vitality of our community. The Friends furnish the Yale Public Library with the resources needed to provide the items and services that are not provided for in their regular budget.
The Friends, through fundraising events and membership dues, provide the Yale Public Library with approximately a dozen magazine and newspaper subscriptions, substantial contributions for both juvenile and adult literature, and funding for library programs. The Friends, with the help of many volunteers, promote awareness and the use of the library to the community through several events annually, i.e. book sales, cake and cookie walks, and perennial exchanges.
If you have any questions, please contact Jim Henry at #304-2400 or Beth or Sharon at the library #387-2940. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
